Rosewood London ~ Review

Rosewood London

Rosewood London is an ultra-luxury High Holborn hotel that combines English heritage with contemporary sophistication based in the heart of the city.

I recently spent a wonderful Sunday at the hotel that is now one of London’s premier spa hotels to experience their Aroma massage, and indulge in a delicious Slow Brunch in the Hotels beautiful Mirror room with Ellie, Balanced Beings new Fitness blogger.

Sense® spa

Relaxation and rejuvenation take centre stage in this beautiful indulgent spa and state-of-the-art fitness centre. As soon as you arrive there is a real sense of serenity and calmness as you’re welcomed into both the hotel and spa.

Rosewood London

With a selection of nurturing treatments using Sodashi products to relax and soothe, the spa’s zen decor features bamboo walls, soft lighting and wooden walkways over rippling water that lead to seven treatment rooms and a centralized relaxation room, providing a true getaway from the hustle and bustle of London.

Other treatments on offer include; Swedish massage ~ Foot Massage ~ Reflexology ~ Head massage ~ Detox massage ~ Back, Neck and Shoulder Massage ~ Jet lag massage ~ Deep tissue massage.

My Treatment

My Aroma massage was carried out by a wonderful therapist called Agata who came to meet me in the relaxation room.

After being offered a shot of healthy juice, Agata then used pre-blended oils to stimulate my circulation, aid lymphatic drainage by eliminating toxins, and most importantly to gently sooth away any stresses, strains and to promote relaxation.

Finishing with a head massage, I felt fully relaxed and invigorated after the treatment. Aside from the massage the spa uses incredibly soft sheets using a blend of silk and cotton on the heated massage table, making the whole experience truly luxurious.

Slow brunch in The Mirror Room

Mirror RoomAfter my treatment, Ellie and I dined in the Mirror Room that serves a weekly Sunday brunch in conjunction with Rosewood London’s Slow Food & Living Market in the hotel’s inner courtyard.

Carefully curated by New Executive Chef, Amandine Chaignot, the menu includes ingredients that are clean, fair and freshly sourced.

We were truly impressed with the vast selection of beautifully fresh food on display and loved walking around and sampling food on offer. We were also given the option of a chicken or fish dish that perfectly in-keeping with the traditional Sunday lunch.

A sommelier is also on hand to assist with wine pairings from a list focused on organic and biodynamic wines from both the Old and New World.

The hotel really is a wonderful place with a decadent, yet warm and calming atmosphere that’s suitable for couples, or catch up’s with friends.

I’m very much looking forward to visiting again at the weekend to experience their exclusive pioneering Face Place beauty treatment, that has been running for over 40 years in West Hollywood.
